Pity about the interior. Oh, well. Don’t drive half bad either for a big FWD family car. Make lots of fun noises with the supercharged 3800. Make some fun noises with the LS4 until the transmission violently shits the bed.
G8 and GTO don’t count because they’re just Holdens. And the GTO looks like a bloated (!!!) Cavalier.

Sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of all these burning retinas.

what is that monstrosity?

I 100% agree, this was the best looking of the early 2000s sedans.

That’s the Pontiac Rageous.
It’s so 90s it hurts.

Looks like the concept for a Saturn Ion Quad coupe.

10/10 would hoon in sick rebook pumps & cross colors outfit

Disagree. The 1G Vibe is really good Pontiac design.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 00:24 |

Pontiac really was ‘90s the car brand’
![]() 12/16/2016 at 00:24 |

Most Pontiac Saturn ever.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 00:26 |

Absolutely. There is no car brand that embodied the 90s zeitgeist more than Pontiac.

G8 and GTO don’t count because they’re just Holdens.
Well none of Pontiac counts then, because the entire brand was a parts bin special. AND YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH ABOUT THE GTO, IT DOES THE BIG COUPE CAR THING RIGHT, UNLIKE THE MAIL SLOT VISIBILITY CAMARO

The 5.3 LS4 was in the Grand Prix GXP. The Bonneville GXP used the LD8 Northstar 4.6

You are so wrong about the GTO. It’s a clean looking car that made the perfect kind of sleeper. It got loads of attention from car people who knew what it was, but nobody else gave it a second glance. It was perfect and glorious. Every time I started mine, it gave me half a chub.
Man I miss that car ... even though it was also an utter pile of garbage.

GTO looks like a Cavalier???? GTFO!
:)

Since you posted a picture of the GXP, are you referring to it specifically? As far as I know it came with a Northstar, not a LS4. LS4 didn’t appear until the final W-Body Impala SS.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 09:31 |

Shit. I forgot. LS4 was Grand Prix/Impala/LaCrosse
![]() 12/16/2016 at 09:32 |

It’s a fat Cavvy.

Dammit. I always confuse which cars got what.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 09:33 |

I’d rather a rwd cavalier.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 09:34 |

It looks like every 3rd-rate futuristic arcade racing game car ever.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 09:39 |

Yeah... Bonneville’s platform mate was the Lucerne, not the LaCrosse.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 10:10 |

Please. You fawn over an NB Miata.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 10:10 |

Yeah, so the Lucerne/Bonneville/DTS got the northstar, the Grand Prix/Impala/LaCrosse got the LS4
![]() 12/16/2016 at 10:10 |
|
And the Northstar got the more durable transmission for... some reason.
![]() 12/16/2016 at 10:13 |

Your point?
![]() 12/16/2016 at 10:31 |

If the GTO is boring looking, so are Miatas.

Ouch.

Why does that grille look different? Every ‘05 GXP I see has the split grille. Real nice looking car though, if you can ignore the craptastic GM dash.
